Bicycling
Safety
- iPad checkout: iPads are available for checkout to students for 7 days at a time.
- Computer checkout: Computers are available for checkout for use in the library for 2 hours at a time.
- Camera checkout: AFA library has cameras and a tripod available for 3 day checkout.
- Projector checkout: AFA library has projectors available for 3 day checkout. Library West has projectors available for 2 hour checkout for in library use.
- Library West graduate student floor: The sixth floor of Library West is specifically designated for the use by UF graduate students. Students must register their ID at the front desk.
Services
- Mailing/passport/etc: The post office is located on Radio Road. It is rarely crowded and available for passport services, printing, mailing, etc.
- Notary Service: WEC has two notaries available in the front office.
- Printing: In addition to access to printing in the Quant lab, UF students are given 250 pages of free printing per semester. You can print at the computer lab in McCarty B and on the ground floor of the Reitz Union.
- Legal Services: A range of legal services are available to UF students including free notarization.
- Business Cards: Business cards and stationary are available to UF students.
- UF Apps: Access to software applications from any computing device--laptops, tablets, desktops, and smartphones--from any location, at any time. Apps include ArcGIS, Matlab, SAS, Photoshop, and more.
- UF Surplus: UF surplus offers equipment to students and the community. These can include computers, projectors, printers, automobiles, furniture, bikes and a varied array of scientific equipment.
Bicycling
- Bike Repairs: Bike repairs are offered on campus on the ground floor of the Reitz Union. There are also bike stations located around campus, including at Newins-Ziegler Hall.
- Bike Registration: Bike registration is available at UPDs offices on campus
- Bike Rental: Bike rentals are available for $100/year.
- Free Helmets: UFPD offers free helmets at different times during the year. Contact them for information.
Safety
- Free Defense Classes
- Rape Aggression Defense: UFPD offer’s free RAD classes for women.
- Resisting Aggression Defensively: RAD classes are also available for men.
- S.A.F.E. (Self-Defense Awareness & Familiarization Exchange): UFPD also offers a general short self-defense course.
- Mobile apps
- Tapshield: Tapshield allows you to view and report local crime and has an alert feature.
- Student Nighttime Auxilary patrol: SNAP is a free, nightly, campus safety and transportation service.
- UF Logo: The UF logo and letterhead can be downloaded here.
- Graphic Design: UF IFAS Communications is located on mowry road and can provide graphic design and branding services.
